Youth Team Update
June and July Round-Up
Track: Micah had a brilliant summer, taking multiple golds at the Scottish Youth and Junior Track Championships and more at the British National Future Sprint Series in Newcastle-under-Lyme, moving to 2nd overall. As part of British Cycling NSR programme he has also been winning on the continent in GB colours. Izzy (silver and bronze), Lucy (bronze plus 7th in Middlesbrough) and Sarah (bronze) all medalled at Sir Chris Hoy, with Alex and Dara gaining more National Youth Omnium experience.
Mountain Bike: Eilidh added a 2nd at the British National XC Series in Pippingford Park and British Championships in Ae, then won the short track event for Team Scotland at the Inter-Regional Championships in Wales. Ruaridh made his National XC Series debut at Tong and he and Oscar took wins at the Edinburgh Schools MTB Championships. Oscar has been prolific on the enduro front scoring a brace of top 10 placings.
Road: Izzy took wins at the Sheffield Grand Prix and Ilkley Crits, plus 2nd at Carlisle to seal the overall series win, and 24th at the British Road Race Championships in Scarborough, where Alex also made his National Series debut. At the Scottish Series in Tulliallan, Sarah was 3rd and Izzy 4th, with JJ, Dara and Alex riding well in the YB boys. Danny has been a regular at the Fife Midweek TT all season and currently sits 10th overall, with the latest round bringing an ERC 1-2 as Dara joined him on the results sheet. Away from the bike, Tymek won the Scottish Triathlon Championship.
2027 Squad: Applications Open
Applications are open now for riders born 2011 to 2014. Referrals from within the club are the best route in, so please spread the word.
Applications close Monday 31st August 2026. Successful applicants notified by 30th September.
