Tymek's year in Triathlon

Hello, I'm Tymek, a 15 soon-to-be-16-year-old triathlete, and I'm in my second year of racing in the British Super Series. I also race in all three individual disciplines of triathlon.

Looking back, I'm happy with what I achieved over the last year and a half of racing in the British Super Series. Last year, my season started with a disappointing 45th-place finish in round 1 of the series, but in round 2, it quickly improved to 20th. My next race after that was the British Aquathlon championships, which doubled as round 3 of the British Super Series, in which I finished in a season high of 12th. The next two rounds were a rollercoaster with a 35th and 18th place finish. Coming into the grand final, I was in some good shape, but unfortunately had a DNF, whic

h caused me to slide down 7 spots in the rankings to 27th, which is considered a decent but not amazing finish for a bottom year in the series.

This season started with a strong 6th-place finish in round 1 of the British Super Series and another strong 5th-place finish in round 2. My goals for the rest of the season are to get a podium in the series, to finish in the top 5 in the rankings, and finally to do well at the school games in September.
