Thank you to Linda and Alan for coaching at the recent ERC track taster session. 30 riders of various ages and experience attended the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow. We developed bike handling, group riding and even competed in an individual flying 500m. To quote Jackie, 'scary and good fun all at the same time!'

A booking mix up meant we had to change times at short notice but hopefully it didn't mean too much inconvenience- and we got to see the future stars of Scottish cycling, and their incredible bikes, coming on after us.

The intention is to organise a series of 3 taster sessions next track season, starting October. Riders will have the chance to achieve level 1 accreditation at these sessions and will hopefully carry on to full accreditation. First of these sessions is likely to be free to riders who attended the last session as Glasgow Life compensated us for the booking mix up.

Anyone already accredited, I'd encourage you to attend the DST session on a Tuesday evening 8-10. A great mix of drills and races with a coach. Steve, Alan, Chris B and myself are ERC regulars.

Finally, ERC bottles were promised to early sign ups and are now available for collection from Alan. Some were handed over at Gifford, and we'll get through the rest of the list as soon as possible.

See you at the next one.
