Ride Description: ( 200 words max) This ride takes you out to the west side of the city with views of the Forth Valley from the various 200 meter peaks along this route. Be ready for some punchy short bergs including the infamous Kingscavil climb often used for hill climb races. Relax, admire the view and have a coffee at the Beecraigs cafe at 40km. Enjoy the rolling farmland as your cycle takes your around the perimeter of Beecraigs park and then past the rust coloured indurstial man made slack heaps know locally as bings. On the homward leg you can chose to retrace your route back to the start or take a left turn on to the traffic free Union Canal path. The path is a shared path and can be narrow so a bell is advisable. There are also a few bumpy tree root sections to naviagate but otherwise its a lovely relaxed journey back to the start point via the Meadows
