ERC Committee Opportunity – Women’s Officer

The post of ERC Women’s Officer is currently vacant. The aim of this post is to represent the interests of female cyclists on the ERC Committee, to support women’s participation and to be a point of contact for current and prospective female members. Time commitment is approximately 1 to 2 hours per week and key duties include the following:

• Participate in ERC committee meetings (approximately 9 meetings per year)
• Respond to email queries from members or prospective members in connection with women’s activities (approximately 1 or 2 per week)
• Organise one or more women’s events per year such as a group ride or educational workshop aimed at engagement of female members.

We envision the post will be primarily focused on social/recreational cycling for women of all ages but may sometimes interface with the Youth Convenor, Youth Race Team and Women’s Race Team in connection with member/prospective member queries or in making referrals. However, the scope of the post is not limited by the above and we invite you to bring your own vision and to explore your interest be it road, off-road, recreational, or competitive.
